The October 2022 issue of Atlanta Magazine, in partnership with an independent research firm QMI Research, named Matthew Hudgins as a 2022 FIVE Star Wealth Manager.  Matt is the Principal of Mosaic Wealth Management, a financial services firm specializing in assisting successful dentists, business owners, professionals, and widows/divorcees by acting as their go-to financial coordinator. We organize and prioritize their personal and financial lives, helping them to make smart decisions about their wealth.

The Five Star Wealth Manager Award is a recognition program for wealth managers. Wealth managers are those individuals who help you manage your finances and/or implement aspects of your financial strategies.

The following 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria are considered in determining the Five Star Wealth Managers award winners:

Eligibility Criteria – Required:

  1. Credentialed as a registered investment advisor or a registered investment advisory representative
  2. Actively employed as a credentialed professional in the financial services industry for a minimum of five years.
  3. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review. *
  4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal firm standards.
  5. Accepting new clients.

Evaluation Criteria – Considered:

  1. One-year client retention rate.
  2. Five-year client retention rate.
  3. Non-institutional discretionary and/or non-discretionary client assets administered.
  4. Number of client households served.
  5. Education and professional designations.
How rankings are based – The Ranking is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria, mostly gained through telephone and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years’ experience, and the algorithm weights factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass best practices in their practices and approach to working with clients. Portfolio performance is not a criteria due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data.

The wealth managers on the list earned the title “2022 FIVE STAR Wealth Managers” – a group of individuals representing less than 13 percent of all professionals within a specific industry are honored with this award.

Wealth Managers do not pay a fee to be considered or to be named a Five Star Wealth Manager. This award is based on sound research methodology and comes from an independent third party which allows it to be the cornerstone of an effective marketing program to positively set apart service professionals from their competition.  Award candidates are identified by one of three sources; pre-qualification, firm nominations or peer nominations.  Self-nominations are not accepted. For more information, on how Award Winners are selected, visit Five Star Professionals site here. Atlanta Magazine does not receive a fee from Managers for publishing the awards.

The 2022 FIVE STAR wealth manager list is an undoubtedly useful tool for these individuals to identify those advisors who have consistently earned the trust of their clients. * Each wealth manager was reviewed for regulatory actions, civil judicial actions and customer complaints as reported by FINRA (the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and other regulatory agencies.
